Sustainability In the Kitchen

Sustainability In the Kitchen

28% of food waste happens on the consumer end. Each time you throw away food that could be cooked, the Earth is crying just a little bit cause when food rots in landfills it gives off methane, a greenhouse gas more harmful than carbon dioxide.

Join Local Roots and Mount Gay Rum for an epic collab that will show you ways to reduce waste in the kitchen. From produce storage tips, to cooking leaf to stem, and using veggie parts to make yummy cocktails, you'll learn delicious ways to make the Earth happier by reducing food waste.

The evening will begin with cocktails by Mount Gay Rum and dinner courtesy of Local Roots NYC.

Then enjoy sustainability demos by Mount Gay Rum star bartender Darrio and Local Roots founder Wen-Jay.

You'll walk away with
- new friends
- exciting new knowledge
- a goodie bag of Local Roots produce and Mount Gay Rum samplers so you can practice in your own kitchen.

You must be 21 to enjoy this event and show proof of vax.
