Chinese Farm to Table Pop-Up

Be the first in LA to try Brooklyn's own Local Roots' Chinese farm to table menu! Featuring our founder's favorite childhood dishes, ingredients will be sourced from LA's best local farms with sustainable growing practices. We're so excited to bring our menu to the West Coast for the first time.

There are two dates for this pop up! May 10 + May 11.

 Menu:

Tea Eggs - tea brined pasture raised eggs

Sauteed seasonal greens

Fan Tuan - Chinese sticky rice roll

Vegan Mapo Tofu - Tofu in a fiery red sauce

Zha Jiang - Heritage ground pork sauteed in a sweet red bean paste. Vegan version available

Red bean filled biscuits with ube powder

Each table will have a jar of Sichuan Chili Crisp thanks to our friends and fellow Asian female owned small business Fly By Jing. Be sure to check out the entire wine list at the venue, Melody Wine Bar.

About the Chef:

Wen-Jay is the founder and CEO of Local Roots NYC, a small business based in NYC whose mission is to heal the food system through their subscription based farmers markets and Chinese farm to table cafe. Wen-Jay has been featured in NYT, Huffington Post, Eater amongst others and has spoken at the United Nations, NYC City Hall, Food Forever Conference and more on regenerative agriculture, local food systems, sustainable living and more. Wen-Jay and Local Roots believe that food can change the world. Food has been a way for Wen-Jay to embrace and share her Chinese culture.
